About
Hey guys, jingi wallah!* Welcome to my website.
The reason I wanted to create this website is because I want to share experiences, ideas and things about my singing career.
My name is Laly Bigeard, I am half French and half Australian, and my current age is ten years old. I live in Byron Bay, Australia with my parents and my bunny, Kombucha. My singing started when I was just a baby and my mum would lay me on a blanket and play with me while we listened to a song. I would listen to the song and use baby noises instead of humming. When I got a little bit older I used to learn the words to songs I liked and sing in the car, bath, and I would also sing myself to sleep.
My mum plays piano and my dad is a guitarist and I once made up a song which he played guitar along with. And on mothers day or my mum’s birthday I can’t quite remember which one, I performed that song to my mum. I was very nervous and scared but brave at the same time. I kept on performing in front of my parents and kept on singing while brushing my teeth, in the shower or at bedtime and I still do that now. And just this year for my tenth birthday I got a professional karaoke machine which I was so excited about, and when my friends came over for my sleepover birthday party we sang into the microphone and applauded each other and were not scared at all. I would like to thank my incredible singing teacher Zaynab Wilson for helping me become braver when singing and for helping me with my very first single. Don’t miss the release of my first song which will most likely be coming out this year!

ANIMAL ACTIVIST:
Since I was a baby I’ve always loved animals.
I had three chickens when I was very young and I loved them very much and would have tea parties with them in our garden. I had another one after those three but I can’t quite remember her and had 2 chickens just about three years ago. But now I only have one bunny, a boy named Kombucha who I love very much (we call him BOUCHI for short). Ever since I was a baby I’ve been fascinated with creatures of all species and sizes. My mum used to take me to the dog park when we used to live in Lilyfield, Sydney when I was a baby so that I could be amongst all the puppies and dogs. I’ve had many puppy friends since I was little: Thika, Lily, Luna, Falcor, Zeke, Oskar, Otis, Raya, Muchacho, Tess and Chilli. Anytime I came across injured or unwell insects like moths, butterflies, crickets, cicadas and dragonflies, I’d care for them until they felt well.
When I lived in Sydney me and my friends started a bee club. We found bees that were not well, needed water and sometimes we would took them in as pets. They never stung us surprisingly even when holding them. One of my friends made a daily schedule for them just for when we took them home. Sometimes we would even sneak out of class just so we could check on our bee friends.
me and my Bouchi, he is so cuddly and we love him so much!

In Sydney I also wanted to adopt a koala from Port Macqaurie Koala Hospital since the terrible bushfires in 2019 and also since they are my favourite animal as well as bunnies. Adopting a koala means that you donate money towards helping it get better to be released back into the wild. When I adopted Anwen the koala and told my friends, they wanted to adopt one too so we did: We set up a stall selling orange juice and candy canes and got just enough money to adopt one. Another one of my friends wanted to adopt one too so we set up a stall and sold ornaments we made, bracelets and other stuff that was all a jumble. Last year on my way to visit my friend Eloise we stopped at the koala hospital, chose a koala and adopted it. So far I have adopted three koalas and I think that’s pretty good but I hope to adopt more in the future.
Since moving to Byron Bay I had the idea to start an animal club with my friends. We all have different roles in the club. For example, one of us gives out assignments, another makes posters, and another comes up with ideas to raise money. Our very first assignment was on the plover which is a type of native bird. There was a bit of an incident with the nesting area though: A soccer ball or football at lunchtime was accidentally kicked into the plovers area which rolled over 3 eggs and crushed them. It was really upsetting. But there were still 3 eggs left and me and my friends watched them very closely to make sure nothing like this would happen again. They soon hatched after the school holidays and we thought they were so cute and carried on our assignment until they were older and could fly. They are teenagers now and are very cute and healthy. Our next assignment is about a little native mouse which you can learn about the whole story on one of my next journal posts.
Thank you for reading a little about me! I hope you enjoy my website. A big thank you to my mum for making this special place for me to share with you.
