My song, Stars…

Hey guys welcome to my 7th journal post! Today I’m finally going to be telling you about my song!!!! When I was about 8 years old I wrote a song called Stars…

I worked on this song and tweaked it and have kept it for about 2 years! I finally got to record my song on the 23rd of August last year with my Mum and Zaynab! I was excited and nervous mixed in one. I recorded the song in Queensland, on the Gold Coast at a place called Lovestreet Studios. I’d never been inside a real recording studio before and it was nothing like I had thought.

I recorded the song 3 times. The first recording went really well and it made me feel brave and proud. This experience was amazing and nothing like I thought it would be. After recording my song I felt proud of making my dream come true.

I would like to say a big thank you to my mum (Pia Jane Bijkerk) who helped me throughout the journey and played the piano in my song. I would also like to say thank you to my singing teacher (Zaynab Wilson) who helped me along the journey as well and who played drums in my song1
