Journal post n.3: Trip to Australia Zoo

17/7/22 - written by Laly Bigeard

Hey guys welcome to my third journal post! Today’s journal post is about my trip to Australia Zoo in Queensland which happened in May this year. This journey is only a 4 day trip but was so fun and I definitely want to do it again.

The drive to Queensland was only 3 hours and we arrived at the hotel at around 3:00. We got to our room which had 2 double beds and a massive closet. This hotel was my favourite hotel I’ve ever been in! We had dinner at the restaurant which was delicious + there was this room that turned out to be a games room! With all sorts of games like: video games, basketball hoops, air hockey, claw machines and car racing games! Afterwards we went to bed and got up early for the breakfast buffet. There were all sorts of things like: fruit, yoghurt, cereal, tea, coffee, juice, sausages, bacon, eggs poached or scrambled, hash browns and lots of other different foods. After that we drove the half hour drive to Australia Zoo! We fed kangaroos and got to hold a koala named Bert - this was a dream come true. We watched the live croc show and had lunch at the cafe. Australia Zoo is definitely the best zoo in the whole entire world. Afterwards we drove back to the hotel and had dinner and a games night!

The next day was Saturday and we went to the Australia Zoo again! This time we saw the African section which had: tigers, elephants, red pandas, rhinos and other African animals. After that we watched the croc show again and afterwards I got to hold a snake! We went back to the hotel and had dinner.

On our very last day me and my mum went kayaking around the lake and I swam in the pool. I also went on this treasure hunt and got a free ice-cream! We stopped to have lunch then drove back home to Byron Bay.

I hope you guys enjoyed my short review of my trip to Queensland and don’t miss out on my third journal post cause that one is epic!
